Project 24: DNS Sinkhole
Internet ads are often untrustworthy if not outright malicious and also slow down web browsing. There should be a simple way for an entire network to have ad blocking capabilities, instead of just specific browsers on computers. The DNS Sinkhole solves that problem by covering entire networks and only needing to be configured once. This leads to ads being blocked on devices that may not even have the ability to use traditional ad blockers, like smart TVs or IoT devices. This is accomplished by pointing the DNS requests of websites or ad servers we dislike to nothing, so the ad request never even makes it out of the network.
