Project 27: IoT Hydroponics

In recent years there has been an increase in the use of hydroponics by both commercial farmers and at-home growers. Hydroponics is a method of growing crops in which plants are suspended in a controlled environment and fed nutrients via a constant water supply. When properly executed, hydroponic growing can result in higher yields and less waste than traditional in-ground growing. Our IoT Hydroponics Controller uses an array of sensors to monitor a hydroponic growing environment. It controls power to external appliances such as nutrient pumps in order to help maintain optimal growing conditions. The controller is configured via a website which displays sensor data and allows the user to set desired system parameters.
