Team AMPed has sought to create an original, manufacturable PCB crossover design for bass cabinets made by Sinobas Amplification, LLC. Bass cabinets take audio signals from a bass player’s amplifier and route individual frequencies to certain speakers designed exactly for premium projection of those frequencies. There are several issues with the current design that Sinobas Amplification tasked our team with: manufacturability, modularity, installation difficulty, system durability, and aesthetics. Our team has engineered an innovative crossover solution that successfully implements a multi-crossover frequency configuration, handles all power loads, and applies durability while providing a stark decrease in manufacturing time and cost.
